I have been making this Sweet Chilli Sauce for more than 10 years. It is so versatile. I add it to a stir fry, use as a dipping sauce, spread on sandwiches. My father (bless his soul, said it tasted great on mashed potato!).
Easy to make and so much better than any Chilli Sauce I have ever bought.
I use recycled bottles to bottle. It keeps for a long time preserved by the vinegar.
|Fresh Red Chillies||250g|
|White Sugar||3 cups|
|White Vinegar||3.25 cups|
|Garlic Cloves Crushed||10|
|Fresh Ginger||1 tbsp|
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan
- Boil until thickened (approx 30 min)
- Pour into sterilised bottles
